Manufacturing Facility Cleaning
In a plant, the boundary matters. Cleaning the floor, the walkways and the areas surrounding production is a different job from cleaning the machines themselves, and the two should never be quietly bundled together.
Suitable for
- Light and medium manufacturing plants
- Assembly, packaging and fabrication facilities
- Plants with attached warehousing, shipping and office space
- Facilities preparing for a customer visit, audit or open house
Typical scope
What the work covers, area by area
Your final scope is written after the walkthrough. This is the shape it usually takes.
Plant floors and walkways
- Sweeping and scrubbing of aisles, pedestrian lanes and open floor
- Detail cleaning along wall bases, columns and machine perimeters as agreed
- Attention to marked pedestrian lines and safety markings so they stay visible
Surrounding areas
- Tool cribs, maintenance areas and staging zones, where access is permitted
- Stairs, mezzanine walkways and landings within safe reach
- Shipping and receiving areas attached to the plant
Staff amenities
- Washrooms, locker rooms and shower areas
- Lunchrooms, vending areas and break spaces
- Plant offices, meeting rooms and training rooms
Periodic work
- Deeper floor cleaning or degreasing of defined zones
- Detail dusting of accessible ledges, rails and fixtures

About this service
We clean the building around your process: floors, aisles, staff areas and shared spaces, on a schedule that fits your production plan. Anything touching production equipment is assessed on its own, with your maintenance team involved.
Not included, or assessed separately
- Production equipment cleaning, including machine interiors, guarding interiors, tooling and process residue, unless separately assessed and agreed with your maintenance team
- Any work requiring lockout/tagout, confined-space entry or a hot-work permit
- Dust collection systems, ducting, ventilation interiors and exhaust systems
- Handling, decanting or disposal of chemicals, oils or regulated waste
- Cleanroom, food-process sanitation and validated cleaning protocols
- Overhead structures and high-level surfaces, which are assessed separately
Recurring service or a scheduled project
Recurring
Most plants run a daily or alternating-day janitorial schedule for staff areas plus a floor program at a set frequency for the production hall and its walkways.
One-time or scheduled project
Shutdowns, seasonal slow weeks, customer audits and line relocations are handled as defined projects with their own scope and completion criteria.
Scheduling and access
Cleaning is available 24/7 and can be scheduled at any hour, including overnight and weekends, to work around your operations.
- We work to your production calendar: between shifts, on non-production days or in zones released by your supervisor.
- A site assessment before the first service confirms what the crew may approach, what stays untouched and what requires an escort.
- Personal protective equipment and site rules are confirmed in advance, including hearing protection, eye protection and footwear requirements.
- Where a zone is not released on the day, it is recorded and rescheduled rather than skipped silently.
How this gets quoted and what affects price
Every scope starts with a walkthrough of your site. We look at the areas involved, the condition they are in, how the space is used during the day, and what access looks like. The written proposal that follows lists the areas, the tasks in each area, the frequency and who is responsible for what.
We do not publish rates, because they would be guesses. These are the factors that move the number for this service:
- Floor area, the number of zones and how much is accessible during service
- The type and amount of soil: dry dust, swarf, coolant, oil or general traffic soil
- Frequency and whether the work spans multiple shifts
- Access restrictions, escorting requirements and permit processes
- Floor surface and condition, including sealed, coated or bare concrete
- How much manual detail work is needed around fixed equipment
Example written scope
| Area | Tasks | Frequency | Responsibility |
|---|---|---|---|
| Production floor aisles | Sweep and scrub pedestrian and traffic lanes | Weekly | ALD |
| Machine perimeters | Floor detail to an agreed distance from equipment | Weekly | ALD |
| Production equipment | Machine cleaning and residue removal | Not included | Client / assessed separately |
| Locker rooms and washrooms | Full janitorial task list | Each service day | ALD |
| Lunchroom | Tables, counters, floors, bins | Each service day | ALD |
| Zone release | Confirm which zones are safe to enter | Each service day | Client supervisor |
